BSCA PRE-EVALUATED BY EA TEAM
January 18-22, 2016 the EA team pre-evaluated BSCA for the
continuation of the Peer Evaluation Process to become an associate
member for an EA bilateral agreement in the applied areas of
accreditation (Testing, Calibration, Certification).
Relevant Standards and Guidance used to evaluate BSCA
were ISO/IEC 17011 and corresponding EA/IAF and ILAC guidance, as
applicable.
The EA team visited the BSCA office, interviewed the
staff and reviewed assessor- as well as client-files. In addition,
witnessed activities were conducted each for a day in one testing
laboratory, one calibration laboratory and one product certification
body.
Based on the interviews held and documentation provided,
the EA team concluded that BSCA has competent staff, an appropriate
structure within the organisation and performs professional assessments
on site.
As a result of the above mentioned activities, the EA
team recommended the continuation of the peer evaluation process of
BSCA, provided that corrective actions regarding the team's findings are
implemented.
