Belarusian-Spanish intergov. commission
The first meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Belarusian-Spanish
Commission for Economic and Industrial Cooperation (hereinafter - the Joint
Commission) was held on October 18, 2017 in Minsk.
From the Belarusian side, the
Joint Commission was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Kravchenko, Spanish
- by the Director General for International Trade and Investment of the
Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness of Spain Mr. Jose Luis Kaiser
Moreiraz.
The participants of the Joint
Commission discussed the prospects of the Belarusian-Spanish cooperation in the
field of trade and investment, the strengthening of the institutional structure
to promote trade and economic cooperation and the expansion of the legal
framework.
The following priority sectors
for development of cooperation between business circles of Belarus and Spain
are determined: modernization of industrial potential, energy efficiency,
transport and logistics, infrastructure, public-private partnership projects,
information technologies.
The results of the meeting are
fixed in the final protocol signed by the parties.

Within the first meeting of
the Joint Commission in a narrow format, which took place on the basis of the
National Centre for Marketing and Conjuncture of Prices, the presentation of
the National Accreditation System of the Republic of Belarus was held, the
proposals of the BSCA for cooperation in the field of accreditation were sent
to the Spanish colleagues.
